I am pleased to say that I have many really good friends. For this part of Videopals I am going to refer to Kevin, Colin, Alan and John and Peter. They all had computers during 2002/2003. Very often they would beckon me to look at something that they were doing on their computer. You can bet your socks that when they started to show me.....something went wrong !!! They would say Mmmm funny, it worked last night !!!! This happened so often that I swore that I would never get involved in computing. You see, I don't have a lot of patience and from what I'd seen you need one hell of a lot of patience if you have a computer.

THEN, for some unknown reason on New Years Day 2003 I went to PC WORLD and without any guidance whatsoever I purchased an E Machine with a flat screen up-grade for £699.00. Whatever possessed me to do this I'll never know. I reckon those friends of mine put a spell on me.

Remember that I am now retired and have all the time in the world. You do need a lot of time if you take computing seriously. The above mentioned friends aided and abetted me with so much patience it was unbelievable. I was amazed at the amount of patience that I suddenly had. Learn, learn and more learn. One of the most important things I learnt was to make notes. Yes, I still make notes... If you don't make notes you can be sure that you will forget how you did something. Here we are now, I still make notes and am so pleased to be able to help others with their computing problems. So it was from Tapepals, onto Videopals, and now Computerpals!! I find it hard to believe how I have advanced in this hobby and I thank all those who have helped me from the bottom of my whisky glass!!!
