Blue skies, white frost and a biting cold wind greeted me at the
Nene Valley
Railway on Saturday 17th December 2005. The railway used to connect my home town
with Peterborough in 'the good old steam days'. Now it is a popular tourist
attraction and runs from Yarwell Junction through Wansford to
Peterborough. I was at the Wansford site for a couple of hours and the
Santa Special was a
push 'n' pull affair with D9523 and 73050 City of Peterborough.
