This railway runs through spectacular scenery from
Grosmont to Pickering in
North East Yorkshire. Sometimes steam trains also run on the national rail
network from Grosmont to Whitby. The picture (right) shows a train

.......On the journey from Grosmont to
Pickering the trains stop at Goathland, also
known as 'Aidensfield' in the television programme Heartbeat. Goathland is a small spread out community but attracts thousands of tourists
because of it's association with television. Many of the tourists arrive by
steam train. |
