Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway Gala 2008

This Gala was to celebrate 60 years of the railway. The trains ran non stop over the early spring bank holiday for sixty hours. A fine show of locomotives was put on with the home fleet plus a loco from the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway  and one from The Kirklees Railway. I found the staff very friendly and could easily see how organised everything was in order to make the event a complete success. The only comment against the event was the lack of publicity. Nothing at all on the website or on any websites listing this railway on my search engine. I heard about the event from my friend Ged in Bridgwater. The event looked to be well supported but I feel a lot more much needed income would have been earned if the event was advertised on the website. Anyway well done and thank you to all concerned.
