Severn Valley Railway 1940's Weekend

This event is a re-enactment of a July day in 1941. The pictures were taken as my friend Ernie and I travelled along the line alighting at the countryside stations en route. The railway, it's staff and the many re-enactors put on a great show and I thank them for their willingness to being photographed. I feel that the photographs tell the story without any captions, except that I will tell you that Ernie and I did walk the two miles or so alongside the River Severn from Highley to Arley, rather than take the train. This event is a great day out for individuals, couples and families.
