Churnet Valley Railway

You will find this grand railway to the east of Stoke on Trent. It really has worked very hard to create a big tourist attraction, not only for its trains but for combined train and canal trips, picturesque walks, interesting rebuilt stations and loco maintenance sheds.

At the southern end of the line they even have a bed and breakfast facility at the station.

There are three stations with a pub a few hundred yards from each of them, so you wont go thirsty! I visited for the 2006 Steam Gala. I was not disappointed.
