WATER ORTON SELECTION

This set of pictures were taken during July, August and September 2008. Water Orton is to the east of Birmingham near to the Airport and Exhibition Centre. You can travel by train but there is only one stopping train each hour in each direction. The M6 and M42 motorways offer easy access via the A446. The station is unmanned so access is easy and good video and stills can be obtained from the platform. There is also a footbridge nearby where more good shots can be had. There are usually other enthusiasts here so there is always someone to converse with. There is a pay toilet in the adjoining free car park. Nearby is a Tesco store, a fish n chip shop and an oriental take away. No shortage of food and drink.
