MARHOLM Nr PETERBOROUGH. ECML.
These pictures were taken near Marholm, just
north of Peterborough. It was a beautiful sunny day for Friday 9th
November 2007. There used to be a road-rail crossing here but it was
closed some years ago leaving a footbridge over the five tracks. It
is at this point where the line to Spalding diverges and about a
mile north of here the lines to Stamford, Oakham and Leicester
diverge. The camera I used was an easy to use digital by Nikon, the Coolpix 2100. The camera was set on the sports setting in an effort
to capture the pictures of fast moving trains without to much blurr.
I hope that you will enjoy viewing them. As a matter of interest my
friend Ernie and myself arrived at 12.15 pm and departed at 15.40.
During that time at least seventy trains past.
