WELLINGBOROUGH SNOW SCENES 2009
We are usually very lucky weather wise in our town. All around us
experience storms, high winds and lots of rain. However during the
night of 4th February 2009 ( much to our surprise ) we received 6
inches of snow. I stirred from my lovely warm bed at 5am and peered
out of the window to see the main road at a virtual standstill.
Naturally I grabbed the camera and below you can view the night
scene. At 10.30 am I was out in the local parks and the town centre
at which time I was able to walk down the centre of the road in
Sheep Street and Silver Street. A rare opportunity. I love the snow
scene and the wonderful thing is, I'm retired so do not have to ski
my way to work. |
