Rushden Cavalcade of Historical Transport - 2006 - (88 images)

On the 28th April 2006 my wife and I took our grandson to the annual Historical Cavalcade of Transport (staged by Rushden Historical Transport Society - see link below). The Cavalcade is held at Avenue Road in Rushden, about a mile from the centre of town. There was plenty to see, although I felt that there was a lack of steam engines. I last went to the event some 4 or 5 years ago when it was held at Lancaster Farm, Higham Ferrers. In those days Fred Dibnah was present and the sight seemed to attract a lot more steam traction. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our visit and our grandson was totally gob-smacked, looking at all this ancient machinery which he had never seen before.
