PICTORIAL WALKS

THE BRAMPTON VALLEY WAY - Part two

An introduction to this walk/ride can be found in part one.
We set off on this part of our ride by entering one of the tunnels. Attempting to ride from the bright sunshine into complete darkness I became completely disorientated and had to get off the bike. After walking a short distance another attempt was made and although finding it difficult managed to slowly go forth in the saddle. We stopped under the ventilation shaft to take some pictures. As you can see they came out really weird. Leaving this ‘spooky’ experience behind we peddled forward through very pleasant countryside to Market Harborough. This is a very ancient market town with many ancient buildings. For the ladies there are plenty of shops.
As a finale we sat on a wall in the main street in the spring sunshine enjoying freshly cooked fish ‘n’ chips.
