Think of this..... The Iron Age, a Roman Settlement, Rockingham Forest....
That is where Brigstock began. It was one of the larger villages in the Royal
Rockingham Forest where hunting was a very popular pastime together with
drinking. The village in the early days had more than a dozen pubs, many are now
residential properties. The first school was endowed in 1620. Many scholars
grew up to play in the popular Brigstock Silver Band. |
