PICTORIAL WALKS

Apethorpe, Northants (37 images)

Nice spring sunshine welcomed me to this small village which long ago was all part of one estate. One can enjoy a visit to the church which houses a grand marble monument in memory of Sir Anthony Mildmay and his wife, Lady Grace who built the 16th century hall. A nice stream passes the village and it is called the Willow Brook although the locals call it the Willy Brook. The hall can be seen from a distance from the end of Laundry Close. It is not however, open to the public.
