Sandsend Trail, North-East England  (26 images)

What a beautiful day it was to be walking along the disused railway track bed between Sandsend and Kettleness. Not too often does the sea look as blue as it did on this day.

This is the Sandsend Trail, part of the Cleveland Way which carried trains along a single line, past potash mines, very steep cliffs and through a dark damp tunnel. Imagine, as you view some of the pictures....   sitting high up in a railway carriage, gazing out of the window at this stunning scenery. The starting point for our walk was the car park just below the old Sandsend Station.
