Scarborough is one of the earliest known seaside resorts. It's sandy
shoreline is split in half by the castle headland.
North Bay and South Bay both have pleasant sandy beaches. There is ample
entertainment for all age groups. Being a 'Spa' town the Victorians flocked here
to hopefully benefit from it's waters. Our walk takes us along the North Bay (Royal Albert Drive) round the castle
headland (Marine Drive) along Sandside past the harbour, and
Foreshore
Road which overlooks the South Bay. Taking the cliff railway we make our way back through the town to
North Bay.
