Just a few miles south of Whitby on England's
north-east coast is this lovely
village. It climbs steeply up the cliffs from the sea, has narrow lanes and
passageways, narrow winding streets with a surprise at every corner. The road is
so steep that the buildings look as if they will topple over on to each other.
From high up on the hillside one has a magnificent vista of a mass of red tiled
roofs.
While visiting The Treasure Chest shop I learnt of a site which gives
information on some unusual books
