Dumbarton 2 .
Scotland Welcome again to Dumbarton,
just five miles south of Loch Lomond and 15 miles north of
Glasgow. My wife June and I have stayed in the town at the home
of our friends John and Peter
www.2ofme.co.uk more than thirty times. This selection of pictures
was taken in May 2007. I start the walk in High Street and continue
along the quay to the recently restored bridge. After crossing the
bridge I enter Levengrove Park and walk down to the banks of
the River Clyde. Continuing past Dumbarton Castle Rock
I walk along the west bank of the River Leven past the
West Kirk and under the railway bridge towards Loch
Lomond. |
