We met at Nuneaton Station Tue 13 Jan 2009 as i was to take a few pics of signalling equipment for the company i work for. Had a quick browse of your site and can honestly say that i will be spending a lot more time doing so in the future.

Do you remember me? We met at the south end of Preston Station on Thursday 9th October when you mentioned that you and your wife were staying at Ribby Hall, Kirkham (if my memory serves). Unfortunately you had missed the two steam trains that passed through earlier that morning. We chatted mainly about railway things and you asked me to sign your guestbook so here are my comments.

I have very much enjoyed browsing your site. There is so much to look at, particularly the excellent photos from your walks and holidays. I must confess I don’t think I have been to any of the places you visited but your photos make me want to make the effort and visit some of them. I also found reading your ‘life story’ very interesting. In a way, I have often regretted missing out on National Service because you get the chance to see and do things you wouldn’t normally do at so young an age.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in my ‘neck-of-the-woods’ and perhaps we will meet again at Preston Station. I photograph trains there quite often, as it’s not too far from where I live.

I have built about 80% of my own railway web site but as I’m doing all the coding myself, it is taking forever, as I have to fit it in with everything else. I’ll let you know if and when it is finished. Anyway, congratulations on a very entertaining site and keep up the good work and photos.

Don't know if you remember, but we met on the green footbridge at Water Orton on Friday 22nd August, you gave me your card and only just got round to looking at your interesting site.

Take a look at my fotopic if you wish (comments welcome ), if you do, remember to check the Barnetby photo's (1st July) that we were talking about, being full sun when I walked to the bridge further up the line if you remember?
