DENFORD. Northamptonshire. Part Two
Summertime and a cycle ride/walk along the path connecting
Irthlingborough with Thrapston. The path is actually the track bed
of the long closed Northampton to Peterborough railway. This is the
Nene Valley where thousands of tons of sand and gravel have been
extracted. There are now extensive lakes here and together with the
River Nene form a large outdoor leisure area. Our pictures are taken
at the riverside and the meadows in and around Denford during August
2007. |
